Is there any flower as gay as the stately orchid? 

I mean, other than the riotous pansy, or, maybe, the stoic tulip, hasn't the orchid and its needs been compared throughout the ages to that of same sex love?  Who knows...  Maybe not. 

We at TheOccasionalFag really aren't flower guys in the sense that we make a living out of their preservation and/or presentation.  If you do work in this admirable field, leave us a comment about their history, if you could.
